Art for the Ocean!!
Head over to the Rhizome Cafe between March 22 & May 22, 2011 to take in some truly inspired works of art! Some of Vancouver’s most talented local artists have donated art inspired by the ocean to be hung on Rhizome’s walls!
Proceeds from any artwork sold will be split between the artist, Rhizome and Wake.
Rhizome is known for its great atmosphere and delicious food- so you can treat yourself and be cultured!
Wake will be having an exclusive launch event on April 7- more details to come!

Ocean Roots – Exhibition (A Sea Shepherd Benefit)

The Ocean Roots Art Exhibition will be held at The Beaumont Studios Gallery in Vancouver BC on June 24th.
The exhibit will be open all day to walk around featuring all of Vickys ocean art with accompanying ocean inspired soundtrack. Afer 6:30 the main event will begin with bar, music, raffle prizes (featuring prizes from Paranada, The Boardroom, Dream Designs, Opus and lots more!) and lots more fun stuff! There will also be arts and crafts for sale from local vancouver artists featuring products ocean inspired and made from found and recycled objects.
Live music will start at 9pm featuring The Beveled Edges & Painted Cities.
We will also be showing silent projected films such as Sharkwater, Pirate For The Sea & End Of The Line. Drinks will also be available from the bar.
1/3 of all proceeds raised through art and cd sales will go directly to The Sea Shepherd Conservation Society. 100% of raffle ticket sales and drinks sales will be donated directly to Sea Shepherd.
